New York, NY: A Catherine Zeta-Jones look-alike walked off with the Mae West role. J. David Copeland, who will direct "Courting Mae West: Sex, Censorship and Secrets," selected actress Marta Reiman, a sexy natural blonde with wow power, for the starring role. The play written by New York dramatist LindaAnn Loschiavo is based on true events during the 1920s when Mae West was arrested and jailed for attempting to stage two gay plays on Broadway.

The 23-year-old thespian has been cast as a sexpot before. Reiman played Charlotte in "Night of the Iguana" at Hartford Stage Company, Candy Starr in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest," Marilyn Monroe at the Actor's Studio, as well as Shakespearean beauties such as Beatrice, Lucianna, and Olivia.

Marta Reiman appreciates females who possess that Scarlett O'Hara tenacity. Having done some writing in her spare time, she appreciates that Mae West [1893-1980] was a playwright and Hollywood star who penned the most memorable lines. Her favorite films include "I'm No Angel" and "My Little Chickadee."

On Wednesday August 17th Marta Reiman will co-host Mae West's birthday gala in midtown Manhattan, entertaining celebrity guests Joe Franklin, Louise Lasser, and others.
