Georgia Chiropractic Association Selects ACOM Healthcare Division’s RAPID EMR and Practice Management Software for Vendor Partner Program

(PRLEAP.COM) Atlanta, Georgia, April 17, 2008 – The Georgia Chiropractic Association (GCA), one of the nation’s pioneer professional organizations in the chiropractic community, has selected ACOM’s RAPID Complete chiropractic software for its expanding Member Benefit Program, it was announced jointly today by Michael T. Walsh, CAE, executive director of GCA, and Gregory T. Church, vice president and general manager of the ACOM Healthcare Business Division.

RAPID Complete, the only software solution currently included in the program, streamlines
operations and reduces costs in chiropractic offices by automating business and clinical activities from patient check-in to billing, collection and practice management . Its key modules are RAPID EMR, which automates patient clinical notes, records and reporting, and RAPID EPM which automates the practice’s business side. The division also provides comprehensive consulting services for optimizing billing and documentation.

A fully integrated electronic solution, RAPID allows chiropractors to function in a virtually paper-free environment with well structured electronic patient files and concise reports that support same-day billing and accelerated reimbursements.

“The point of our Member Benefits Program is to expose our 700 doctor members and 160 associates to quality products and services that we know to be backed up with strong support commitments,” Walsh said. “ACOM’s products can help our members build and maintain better records and reports and support their requirements for dependable cash flow. Moreover, through ACOM’s relationship with GCA, members will also receive very favorable pricing.”

After reviewing RAPID Complete, the association’s Benefits Committee determined that it was highly suitable for the program on a basis of several factors, among them:
-Ease of use;
-Comprehensive clinical and business features;
-Professional look and feel;
-Quantity and quality of reports;
-Wealth of support and information;
-Pricing.

“In addition to being more complete and easier to use than other software technology they had seen, committee members agreed that RAPID was especially rich in features and that its look and feel would contribute strongly to the image that chiropractors must maintain,” Walsh said. “It goes a long way towards saying who you are.”

As a vendor partner, ACOM will participate in joint marketing efforts with GCA, including participation in the association’s conferences, its new quarterly journal and its online newsletter. The association will be compensated on each RAPID solution purchased by its members, with the funds going towards the support of the various member activities.

“We welcome GCA to the RAPID family,” Church said. “The support of the many chiropractic associations that have included us in their member benefit programs has been extremely helpful in our campaign to help chiropractors move from traditional manual office procedures to the paperless world, which is not only more efficient and cost effective, but which is rapidly emerging as a mandate by government and payer organizations.”
