Proforma Selects Microsoft Dynamics AX from Fullscope

April 28, 2008 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Fullscope, a Gold Certified Microsoft Business Solutions Partner focused on helping process and discrete manufacturers manage their businesses more effectively and efficiently, today announced that Proforma, a leading North American provider of graphic communication solutions, has selected Microsoft Dynamics AX to provide enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionality to support its rapid growth. Proforma will deploy Microsoft Dynamics AX for use by over 650 franchise owners to enable them to more efficiently conduct business. The Proforma organization will use the solution to better analyze key performance metrics, customer and vendor data and make timely business decisions.

“As Proforma quickly approaches the $500 million mark, the time has come to put an ERP solution in place that has the capacity to support our growing franchise ownership and their increasing sales levels,” says Vera Muzzillo, co-CEO of Proforma. “We have absolute confidence that Microsoft Dynamics AX (ERP) will provide the best support for Proforma, now, and throughout the exciting growth projected over the next five to ten years.”

Proforma relies on a franchise model to drive sales, and the company has more than doubled the number of offices, and increased system wide sales 210% over the last five years. While not a manufacturer, it does offer a number of value-added services to its franchisees including collecting accounts receivable from customers and providing accounts payable to vendors. With substantial growth plans underway, Proforma needed to transition its existing, custom ERP system to a new, flexible platform to address the needs of more than 2,600 projected franchise owners by 2011.

“Adopting Microsoft Dynamics AX as our ERP solution is an investment in the growth of Proforma that will help us reduce technology risks associated with our rapidly expanding owner network and client base,” says Brian Smith, president and chief operating officer for Proforma. “We’re confident that the implementation of this solution will result in a high degree of adoption across our network and provide excellent operational support for our growing number of franchise owners.”

“Proforma is known for keeping its franchise owners and their clients on the cutting edge of technology,” says Kevin Ameche, chief technology officer of Proforma. “The selection of Microsoft Dynamics AX as our ERP solution demonstrates our continued commitment to staying at the forefront of technology and to utilizing new advances in software and systems to increase operational efficiencies and encourage system-wide growth.”

“With Microsoft Dynamics AX, Proforma can leverage a familiar toolset using existing in-house skills already gained by working with other Microsoft products including Visual Studio, SharePoint, SQL Reporting Services and Office,” said Russell Smith, president of Fullscope. “We see this happen time and time again—companies embrace the ability to use existing resources already familiar with Microsoft technology and extend them to an ERP application. We believe this will continue and will be one of the contributing factors that fuel the rapid adoption of Microsoft Dynamics AX.”
