Director and educator Mira Nair, reknowned for such works as Mississippi Masala, Kama Sutra and Monsoon Wedding, has now brought Thackeray's massive epic "Vanity Fair" to the big screen. In her biggest budget film ever, she taps American Reese Witherspoon for the role of Becky Sharp.
