After great deliberation, Traders’ Library has chosen Richard W. Arms as the winner of the coveted Hall of Fame Award. Presentation of the award will take place October 25-27 of 2008 when Traders’ Library hosts the Traders’ Forum; an exclusive event that brings a wide variety of trading experts from across the country together for a weekend in Chicago. Many of the top authors in the industry will be attending, with household names like Oliver Velez, Toni Turner, Guy Cohen, Richard Arms, John Person, Toni Hansen, Jeff Greenblatt, Chuck Hughes, and Bill Kraft on the guest speaker list. The full event schedule is available on www.tlforum.com.

Each year, a Hall of Fame winner is selected for excellence demonstrated by their overall trading performance, expertise in futures, options, technical analysis, or related fields, or for the development of exceptional analytical software or trading systems. All recipients have achieved preeminence in their particular field and are held in high regard by both their peers and the public making the selection process among such great candidates quite challenging.

Richard Arms was chosen because he exemplifies excellence, and is a professional and expert in every sense of the words. By trade, he is a financial consultant to institutional investors and a private portfolio manager. He is also a noted expert in the field of technical and market analysis, and winner of the prestigious Market Technicians Outstanding Contribution Award. A respected author of several bestselling books, his ground-breaking theories in volume analysis and market forecasting have become one of the key technical tools for understanding market price movement. It is listed daily in the Wall Street Journal and flashed once a minute on CNBC.

Since 2001, Traders’ Library has been hosting the Traders’ Forum to bring authors and readers together into one dynamic environment, which takes traders’ education to the next level. This year during the forum, there will be a live mock trading event where the audience can experience the pits in action. There will also be premium sessions held on Saturday where people can spend more direct time with market experts like Oliver Velez and Jeff Greenblatt. All guests at the event will also receive a recording of each session; these will be used as trading reference tools after the event is finished.
