UNIQUE YEAR ROUND MENTORSHIP FESTIVAL EMBRACES GROWTH,Teams Up With Respected Industry Leaders

Jim Brubaker, President of Physical Production at Universal Studios, accepted a position to HATCH’s International Board of Advisors on June 27th at a benefit hosted by the Border Gill in Santa Monica.

One of the motion picture industry’s most respected producers, Mr. Brubaker has worked on more than 50 films and countless television programs, including Bruce Almighty, Liar Liar, Dragonfly, A Walk in the Clouds and Nutty Professor. Mr. Brubaker was first introduced to the concept of HATCH prior to the 2004 inaugural festival, which he participated in as a featured panel member. This evolution into advisory board member reiterates his long-standing advocacy and mentorship of young filmmakers.

Barb Bowers, who comes from an extensive arts development and management background, joined HATCH’s internal executive team August 1st as co-Executive Director. Ms. Bowers dedication to promoting the arts encompasses working with non-profit art, film and theatre organizations from Maine to Montana, contributing rapid growth to community and youth outreach venues. Most recently, Ms. Bowers served as Development Director for the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture, southwest Montana's focal point for artistic and cultural activities.

Ms. Bowers is welcomed on board to share, support and help steer the ship alongside pioneering Executive Director Brian Skuletich, due to the immense growth and infinite potential of HATCH as it contributes to the economy of the creative arts not only in Bozeman, Montana, but everywhere that this spirit touches.

About the HATCH Audiovisual Arts Festival:

HATCH is a non-profit organization dedicated to mentorship of the arts through year round creative workshops and hosts the HATCH Audiovisual Arts Festival. The 2nd annual festival is taking place October 4 – 9, in Bozeman, MT. 10 groundbreaking student films from across the globe will be screened, along with 10 feature films, 10 panels, 20 musical acts, numerous workshops, a Native American Showcase and a star-studded award ceremony honoring student and independent filmmakers and musicians.
