8 Celebrities, 8 Charities, 1 poker game – Cannes Film Festival 2008
(PRLEAP.COM) Eight A list celebrities decended upon the 2008 Cannes Film Festival to play at the American based Usonian Entertainment and French casino empire Groupe Partouche’s Charity Poker Festival, which donated over 1.2 million dollars. The winner was Woody Harrelson for Oasis Preserve International (

500,000 with French actress Alice Taglioni who played for Enfants et santé (

The table included Dennis Hopper who also celebrated his birthday played for the Center for American Progress (CAP,
http://www.americanprogress.org), Edward Norton (National Landscape Conservation Foundation,
http://www.ourconservationlegacy.org), Goldie Hawn (The Hawn Foundation,
http://www.thehawnfoundation.org), Salma Hayek (The Salma Hayek Foundation), Adrien Brody (For the Good, Inc.,
http://forthegoodinc.org) and Tim Robbins (The Actor’s Gang,
http://www.theactorsgang.com) who all went home with 100,000 for each of their chosen charities.
Nathan Folks, president with partner Andrew Nagel of Usonian Entertainment and French Production company SOGIMAGE, owned and operated by Groupe Partouche hosted the Charity Poker Festival that was being filmed for a television special at the Palm Beach Casino.
