DirectBuy Members, Spring And 17 Years Of Success

(PRLEAP.COM) Hauppauge, NY, June 3, 2008 - DirectBuy of Suffolk County hosted a Spring Event to celebrate 17 years of helping families enjoy the home of their dreams, as well as to thank their members for their endless support and loyalty.

With more than 350 Suffolk County members attending, the “Spring into Savings” event was the largest fair the showroom had ever held. The showroom welcomed 21 vendors to showcase products, services, and provide valuable product information to members. “We were looking for a bathroom vanity and one of the attending vendors provided us with a tremendous amount of information,” said member Jill Dreznin. “The vendors were so happy to be there and very enthusiastic to answer any questions.”

To create excitement, vendors held raffles for rugs, furniture, mantels, countertops, gift certificates, and discounts on future orders. “We came to enjoy the fair and buy some new furniture, and as an added bonus, we got a free lunch and won a Weber barbeque grill,” said Beryl Kaplan. “It was something we needed and were just about to buy. We are so happy!”

So that members could enjoy the adult “activities, the staff of DirectBuy of Suffolk County entertained the children with face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon sculpting, and a magic show.

As part of the event, DirectBuy of Suffolk County held a food drive for Long Island Cares, a local food bank. Long Island Cares provides and distributes food and other non-perishable products to charities and people in need. “By encouraging our members to contribute non-perishable food and other products, it makes us all work toward improving the lives of people close to home,” says Owner Naushad Mehta.

This was the second event that DirectBuy of Suffolk County held to benefit Long Island Cares. In October of 2007, the showroom held its first annual fall festival that provided donations to Long Island Cares. The fall festival was also a success, giving members a chance to win basket raffles and purchase discounted merchandise, while providing fun activities for their children.
