Customyarns.com celebrates Knit in Public Day with benefit promotion

Custom Yarns by Linda is conducting a special promotion in recognition of Worldwide Knit in Public Day and in support of an online forum for knitting enthusiasts. Now in its 4th year, WWKIP day is the largest event in the world that is run entirely by passionate volunteers spreading their message about the joys of knitting through a series of local events and gatherings.

“Being an on-line store prevents me from having an event, so I thought the next best way of demonstrating my support was to help this highly regarded forum for knitters” says Linda Ostroff, owner of Custom Yarns by Linda. She also shows her support by showcasing hand dyed American yarns such as Great Adirondack and Fiesta Yarns.

On the weekend of June14-15, 15 % of all sales will be donated to the Knitters Review Forum website (http://www.knittersreview.com/forum/) to assist in defraying the website’s operational costs. Said Ostroff, “We support Knitters Review as it brings together yarn and fiber aficionados from all over the world who now have a central meeting place. There is comfort in knowing that this ancient craft will continue for generations to come.”
