The Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE) officially launched its new Disease Prevention program website – www.StopGerms.org (http://www.stopgerms.org). This very colorful, interactive site received accolades during the pilot stages and continues to attract new visitors daily.

The design offers consumers a unique one-stop web experience in identifying household sources of disease. The site also provides scientific data on germ research as well as recommendations on how to rid your home of germ-causing diseases.

Using an innovative “room-with-a-view” technique, the site offers families a chance to see dust mites, cockroaches, E. coli and staphylococcus bacteria – just to name a few. The consumer has the opportunity to learn more about each germ through the addition of an education section.
The website is a great tool for new mothers who want a clean, healthy environment for their babies. It can also help families understand the correlation between germs and wellness, providing steps they can take to prevent illness.

In the coming months, StopGerms.org will secure partners and create alliances with other national organizations. As part of an effort to direct web traffic to the new site, ACE has begun advertising on the web, and is currently in the process of optimizing the site for an improved search engine ranking.
