Water Coolers Direct have launched a new WebCam entitled "Cooler Moments WebCam". Often a place where staff members congregate and chat through the week's events the idea of the Cam is to show the friendly customer orientated side of the company.

Surrounded by competitors who push lucrative rental contracts Water Coolers Direct (WCD) prides itself is leading what it calls "the Water Coolers Direct drinking revolution" where customers of the company have effectively said NO to onerous drinking water contracts by purchasing their machines outright. Since staring business in 2004 with 3 employees in a loft in Dursley Gloucester, the dotcom business has grown into a business that employs over 15 local people. The business has recently reached an important landmark by selling to its 5,000th UK based customer and relocating to larger premises on the prestigious Gloucester Business Park.

Fred Cairns Palmer Managing Director of Water Coolers Direct said that "When I was first introduced to the idea of a WebCam I couldn't believe that we hadn't thought of it before, the obvious connection of the water cooler being a social place to meet up with work colleagues and the online parallel of a social WebCam spoke to us all…" he went on to say "…what finally sold it to me was that the staff were all very excited about the prospect."

The WebCam is to be pointed at the Water Cooler in the Water Coolers Direct Sales Office where those who log on will see the sales staff socialise with each other while enjoying a glass of cool filtered water.

"When I first looked into this I was amazed at how many Cams are pointing at water coolers, a search in Google reveals over 177,000 pages returned for the phrase water cooler cam." says Justin March Marketing Manager of Water Cooler Direct he goes on to note that "…While we aren't taking this completely seriously we do want people to visit us. This maybe a difficult task with focused competition from sites such as the famous www.coolercam.co.uk and www.coolercam.com, however as we are part of the Water Cooler industry we do feel that our new WebCam will soon become a firm favourite with the web going public."

The company don't intend to stop at just one WebCam with the move to Gloucester Business Park the increased space has given even more scope, the ideas that are currently under discussion are:
• The Bri WebCam (Focusing on Brian Moulder the most senior sales executive);
• The Dispatches WebCam (Pointing at the Important Warehouse Staff);
• The Operations WebCam (Pointing at the Operations room where installations and deliveries are organised);
• The Product WebCam (Showcasing the latest products on trial in the Water Coolers Direct testing area).

"We are an open company and hope to be as transparent as possible to our customers and staff. It's important that our sales team are approachable and the Cooler Moments WebCam will definitely help with this." said Martin Booth Sales Director of Water Coolers Direct.
