MD Promenade Opens First Eatery in the Dallas Executive Airport since 2003
(
PRLEAP.COM) Dallas, Texas August 1, 2008 - For Dirk and Mark Kelcher, the identical twin owners of MD Promenade, staying ranked as top contenders in the bar and restaurant business in Dallas, Texas, now includes opening a new restaurant in the Dallas Executive Airport, which hasn’t seen a restaurant in the terminal since it was torn down and rebuilt in 2003.
According to a feature on the MD Promenade in the Dallas Business Journal, the Dallas Executive Airport once housed the Casa Blanca, a popular restaurant, but the Kelchers believe the airport could house their 2,500 square foot restaurant.
The economic development committee of the Dallas City Council approved the venture earlier in June, and the project garnered eight favorable votes. The full City Council was set to consider extending a lease to MD Promenade Inc.
If all goes as MD Promenade has planned, the restaurant and bar could open in nine to 12 months, according to city estimates. However, this is only a part of the beginning for MD Promenade, as the 34-year-old Kelchers hope to immediately begin supplying catering to aircraft on the field, as well as to any users of the terminal’s conference and event space, Mark Kelcher said in the feature.
MD Promenade is also the owner of the Metro Grill, a restaurant and bar located near downtown Dallas.
