Huebert Brewing Co. Featured in The Oklahoman Newspaper
(
PRLEAP.COM) Oklahoma City, OK August 6, 2008 – Huebert Brewing Co., the manufacturer of local Oklahoman beer and root beer, was recently featured in The Oklahoman newspaper for its successful new root beer carried at POPS restaurant and convenience store. The daily newspaper provides information on local news, opinion, sports, business, travel, lifestyle and classifieds.
The article titled "Drinking it up" explains how products from Huebert Brewing Co. are fairing well among competition at POPS, an Oklahoman restaurant and convenience store that carries more than 460 brands of soda, including 63 different types of root beer. Round Barn Root Beer, which is brewed by Huebert Brewing Co., is the second most popular root beer drink and is made especially for POPS. To date, more than 7,500 bottles have been sold.
"Planning for Round Barn Root Beer began with a series of recipe experiments and taste tests at Huebert Brewing Co," wrote Business Writer Steve Lackmeyer. Rick Huebert, owner of the brewing company, started brewing as a hobby at home and started the business after state laws changed and allowed retail manufacturing of 3.2 percent beer.
POPS is now preparing to add keg-fed fountains for Round Barn Root Beer, and both the brewer and POPS are excited about their successes.
