In early spring 2009, RetractableAwnings.com will attend the R+T International Trade Fair in Stuttgart, Germany. This exciting tri-annual show gathers thousands of innovators in climate protection systems. The February 2009 event marks the first time that RetractableAwnings.com will attend, a trip that RetractableAwnings.com vice president Eric Scop calls "a fantastic venue for finding new products and learning new ideas. This introduces a whole new experience for our worldwide customer base."

RetractableAwnings.com will include the 18th R+T Industrial Trade Fair in its 2009 calendar of trade shows. RetractableAwnings.com has long participated in events for organizations such as the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association and the Industrial Fabrics Association International to stay in touch with the pulse of the industry.

Held every three years, the Stuttgart-based fair is the largest gathering in the world of manufacturers, vendors, and designers for climate protection systems, from awnings to landscaping to doors, windows, and gates. RetractableAwnings.com is eager to investigate innovations for their retractable awning lines. "We're looking for new products and new suppliers," Scop said. "We will investigate all types of retractable sun, wind, rain, and snow protection systems."

European-based R+T also crosses the spectrum of climate protection industries, including construction, landscaping, and furnishings. "The array of exhibits will give us an even better idea of the needs of developers, architects, designers and landscapers," Scop explained. "We want to incorporate our high-quality retractable awnings, retractable patio covers and other retractable products early in the design process for commercial and residential buildings. This event will give us exposure as to how those industries look at sun protection."

R+T 2009 emphasizes several concepts during the five-day fair which relate intimately with the focus of RetractableAwnings.com:
• Incorporating sun protection systems with architectural plans for new buildings;
• New trends for designs, manufacturing, and implementation of sun protection systems;
• The place of sun protection for energy efficiency and lower energy costs.

From Feb. 10 to Feb. 14, 2009, over 60,000 attendees and 700 exhibitors will throng the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, a massive new complex with over 1.1 million square feet of exhibit area. Many exhibit areas are nearly 14,000 square feet, displaying an array of new design trends, technologies, and systems. Nearly two-thirds of exhibitors are from outside Germany, with surging interest from Spain, Switzerland, Poland, and the Netherlands, plus emerging manufacturing giants in Taiwan and China.
