(PRLEAP.COM) Madison Heights, MI - August 28, 2008 – Angela Dortch, customer service lead support at Detroit Door & Hardware Co. was included in Corp! Magazine’s list of customer service heroes. The publication is Michigan’s largest business magazine and features local business news to executives, business owners and officers throughout the state.

The article titled "Customer Service Heroes to the Rescue!" provided a list of employees "who make it their mission to serve those around them in ‘heroic’ proportions." Dortch said that stepping out to help a Detroit Door customer is hardly out of the ordinary or heroic.

‘"Someone called in and needed service that day,’" she said in the article. ‘"He had the fire marshal over to inspect doors the same day and we were booked. I rerouted the calls to take care of him; we went out on overtime, but we took care of them and all our other customers too.’"

Dortch believes that customers are the purpose for being in business and when they are taken care of, it is very rewarding. ‘"A lot of people don’t realize that doors are very important, especially during the winter when it’s cold; if a big door gets stuck open, it’s very important to respond.’"
