JE Electronics Goes Above and Beyond Great Customer Service
(
PRLEAP.COM) September 17, 2008-Naples, Florida- Joseph Eisenhower was born a natural leader. After happily working for two different employers in the field of repairing electronics, he still decided to branch off and start his own business. In 1997, JE Electronics, a store that specializes in repairing common electronic items such as televisions, was opened up.
Growing up in a family of business people, becoming his own boss is really the only route Eisenhower could take. "When you work for yourself you work hard, but you’re free of pressure," he said.
Eisenhower also said there are days that he works 18 to 22 hours. "If you like what you are doing, you are used to it…you feel comfortable."
Although good customer service is hard to find at times, Eisenhower has to be careful that his passion for helping people doesn’t hurt his business. "I do not use the customer to make money," he emphasized. "I work for money and I use money, but not at the expense of the customer."
Some customers of JE Electronics see Eisenhower’s character all to well.
"There have been many different cases where customers send me an extra check. "One time I did a job for someone and I charged them $212.00. The customer refused and paid me more." Eisenhower explained. The customer then warned Eisenhower that if he continues to charge such a low cost, he may be in danger of going out of business.
Although well aware that profitable sales are needed to keep his business active, Eisenhower said that his "good guy" characteristics set him apart from other businesses.
"Some people do just pay what I ask for, but I have a lot of customers that say, ‘No you are a good guy…charge for your services.’"
Eisenhower said he was not exempt from the downfall of the economy post 911. He is hoping that Karma will play a factor for him and his business.
"There are some customers that take advantage and will ask for a service call. I will go to their homes, repair an electronic and they don’t pay." Eisenhower said. However, he said he just turns his back. In the future he is hoping more customers understand that he will go above and beyond to help them.
About JE Electronics: JE Electronics has been opened since 1997 and is owned by Joseph Eisenhower. The hours of operation are from 8:30a.m.-5:30p.m., and on Saturdays 12 p.m. - 4p.m.
