Hertz Rent A Car Brings in Newer and Later Models to Better Service Customers

(PRLEAP.COM) September 21, 2008 - Auburn, California- Chris Gormley, store manager of Hertz Rent A Car in Auburn, California, announces the newest cars to be added to the Hertz inventory.

Although the manager said that none of the Hertz cars exceed 35,000 miles, he is excited to be able to offer even newer rentals.

Many may not be aware that Hertz was started by Walter L. Jacobs back in 1918. At that time however, the company wasn’t officially named, but known as a car rental company. In 1923, Jacobs sold it to John. D. Hertz-hence its current title. Decades later, Hertz is still able to provide customers with efficient transportation.

Today Gormley said this is what sets Hertz apart from its competing companies. "We always have the newest and lowest mileage cars out there."

This is important in today’s economy, considering the significant increase of gas prices. "People are looking for economical cars such as Hybrids…which we carry a lot of." said Gormley. Currently, Hybrids are extremely high in demand.

A Hybrid is beneficial because it combines a conventional propulsion system with a rechargeable energy storage system. This feature helps achieve better fuel economy than a conventional vehicle…or in simple terms, saves money on gas.

In addition to carrying Hybrids, Hertz is adding Hyundai’s all-new Genesis, a rear-wheel-drive full-size sedan. The Genesis is available with Hyundai’s first V-8 engine in a passenger car, and will be accompanied by the Hertz edition Corvette and the 2009 Chevy Camaro.

The aforementioned cars aren’t necessarily the cheapest vehicles on the lot either. Hybrids alone are usually listed at a few thousand dollars more than theirnon-hybrid counterparts.

"A lot of people can’t afford to buy a car. Why not rent a car from us for a couple of days to get out town or run your errands?" Gormley rhetorically asked.

Hertz also offers a convenient pick-service as long as customers are within a 20 mile radius and give an hour lead time.

And if convenience isn’t enough, Gormley said the Auburn location offers a special discount. "Anybody who mentions an advertisement off of the internet will get 10 percent off."
