Retractableawnings.com Announces Planned Attendance at IFAI's Internationally-Recognized Fabric Expo

RetractableAwnings.com announces that company representatives will again attend the International Fabrics Association International (IFAI) trade show in Charlotte, NC. The October event is the largest in the world focusing on industrial fabrics, including new designs and technological developments for awning fabrics, including fabric materials, treatments, dying processes, and printing methods. RetractableAwnings.com has attended the annual event for over two decades, a tradition it continues.

The IFAI event this year will be held from October 21 to 23 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC, following on the heels of last year's successful expo in Las Vegas.

"Last year, we saw incredibly innovative designs and better functional thinking for both residential and commercial retractable awnings," said Eric Scop, vice president of Sales and Internet Marketing for RetractableAwnings.com. Along with two new awning designs – whimsical butterfly awnings and telescopic awnings – which RetractableAwnings.com added to their premier product line, Scop explained that the company also jumped ahead on new fabric and color lines for all of their lateral arm and window awnings, a new motion sensor to detect wind, and highly-durable printing methods for commercial customers.

"We've long been members of PAMA [Professional Awning and Manufacturer's Association] because it connects us to the best industry information possible," Scop noted. This year, Scop said that he hopes to see more new product advancements in snow and rain protection, difficult functional areas for retractable awnings because of the additional weight stress. He also expects to see new designs for sun and UV protection systems.

The IFAI expo will provide many objects for RetractableAwnings.com to explore. Over 500 vendors will be attending, covering an array of industrial fabric applications and companies from manufacturing to engineering. About 90 speakers will be offering workshop sessions for business and technology issues, with several being organized by PAMA, a child organization of IFAI.

"It's amazing how much the industry grows every year," Scop said. "There's always something new."
