It was announced today that Fisher Tomlin have won three major awards in this year's New Homes Gardens Awards. Founding Director Andrew Fisher Tomlin said " We are delighted to build on the success of previous year's by winning three awards in 2008. This is especially good because the new homes market has been quite subdued lately and we have had very little opportunity to work on such projects."

The first award was for the Best Garden for a home over £500,000. The garden project in Harmer Green, Hertfordshire and consisted of the development of a new garden for a family home including bespoke play equipment, a special sun deck surrounded by pleached trees and hedging and mixed borders. The design was by Dan Bowyer, Director, who said " This was a challenging brief because of a number of level changes that had to be incorporated. Our client has been delighted with the results and the garden is establishing well."

The second award is for a very special contemporary garden in the Best Restoration category. The garden was commissioned by a leading actress as a compliment for a stunning renovation of her family home in Brighton. Fisher Tomlin designer Stuart Thomas said " We design seaside gardens in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean but it's always good to work close to home and win an award for a garden. "

Fisher Tomlin was also a finalist in the Garden Designer of the Year category winning a Silver Gilt medal for its work across the new homes market. This is the third year running that Fisher Tomlin has been nominated for Garden Designer of the Year and means that the company have now won a massive 12 times with five Gold medals in just three years.
