Local Portland Builder, Palazzo Custom Homes, to be featured on Home Gallery TV's "Great American Builders"

(PRLEAP.COM) Palazzo Custom Homes is pleased to announce that they have been selected by Home Gallery TV to be featured in an upcoming episode of "Great American Builders". This program features a select few builders from across the country that demonstrate a unique niche or approach to building homes in their community. Palazzo Custom Homes is the first builder in Oregon to be selected for this honor.

Palazzo Custom Homes was selected due to its compelling story. Palazzo Custom Homes is a builder in the city of Portland specializing in green-certified homes on infill lots that fit the charm and character of the neighborhood.

"We are excited to be coming to Portland and featuring a local Portland homebuilder in one of our upcoming programs, " stated Lauren Oberne, Senior Producer for the show. "When we were investigating who we would be interested in featuring from Portland, the name Palazzo Custom Homes was at the top of the list. And after having our Executive Producer meet with the principals, we became convinced that this would be a great segment for us. Oregon has beautiful scenery, and certainly has set the standard for land use planning in major metropolitan areas"

"We are thrilled to be featured on this program" stated owner Randy Palazzo. "Having developed and built in the N/NE/SE markets of Portland for over twenty years, we take great pride in building Earth Advantage Green Certified homes using our custom designs. The homes we build blend into the neighborhoods so well that they appear to be part of the original neighborhood, while enjoying the benefits of a modern home. Because our homes sell so quickly, it is clear that our business model is one that homeowners greatly appreciate, but it is very rewarding to also be recognized by being featured in Home Gallery TV programming."

Randy explains the importance of building green certified homes. "Having grown up in the Portland area and having spent time in other parts of the country, I really appreciate Portland’s ‘green’ approach to urban planning. While not everyone is a fan of higher densities, there is no question that Oregon’s land use planning mechanisms has prevented massive urban sprawl and protected the environment. My company remains committed to building energy efficient homes that consume energy resources on a significantly lesser scale than existing homes in the area."

Randy also noted that the importance of the design of these homes should not be overlooked, and why his company has spent so much time and energy meticulously crafting its home plans. "Besides green building practices, my company’s philosophy is also to try and build homes with a design that belongs in that neighborhood. We don’t build a home in North Portland that looks like it belongs in Tualatin", Randy stated. "All of our plans have been designed with the inner N/NE/SE markets in mind. Whether it is our flagship design, the Old Portland Four Square, or a different plan such as our Bungalow or upcoming English Tudor, we strive to have a plan that fits the character of the neighborhood we are building in. We even have our ‘Bella’ series of plans which are designed to be built on narrower lots, while retaining the vintage charm of Old Portland."
