Despite Market Turmoil, Traders' Library Traders Forum a Shining Success

In the face of mounting crisis in the financial markets, the 2008 Traders' Library Trading Forum had one of its best showings ever. About hundred attendees from all over the world gathered together to learn from what to expect in these volatile times and how to profit despite the rising fear and panic in the markets. Speakers included some of the top minds in the business: Oliver Velez, Richard Arms, Bill Kraft, Toni Turner, John Person, Jeff Greenblatt, Guy Cohen, Toni Hansen, John Carter, Todd Gordon, Charlie Kirkpatrick, Andy Chambers, Craig Weil, Chuck Hughes, and Russell Sands.

Known as one of the premier annual events for the trading and investing industry, this year's Forum tackled topics ranging from trading the forex market, utilizing ETFs, understanding candlesticks and pivots, digging into the importance of volume, examining specific patterns to trade, and learning even more intricate aspects of technical trading including Fibonacci and Elliot Wave theory. All speakers addressed the current markets and gave attendees the rare opportunity to learn exactly how the professionals planned to tackle the ever-changing conditions.

One of the best moments of the event came when Charlie Kirkpatrick presented the Hall of Fame award to Richard Arms. Richard was chosen because he exemplifies excellence. He is a noted expert in the field of technical and market analysis and winner of the prestigious Market Technicians Outstanding Contribution Award. A respected author of several bestselling books, his ground-breaking theories in volume analysis and market forecasting have become one of the key technical tools for understanding market price movement (The Arms Index or TRIN). It is listed daily in the Wall Street Journal and flashed once a minute on CNBC.

The Forum was capped off by a trading event in the pits of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Attendees and Traders' Library staff together experienced what it would be like to trade on the floor with the open outcry system.

Since 2001, Traders' Library and Marketplace Books have been hosting the Traders' Forum to bring authors and readers together into one dynamic environment, which takes traders' education to the next level. All attendees will receive a DVD copy of each session; these videos will also be available for sale to the general public in January 2009 through www.Traderslibrary.com.
