HERITAGE FOUNDATION RELEASES '33 MINUTES' MOVIE TRAILER ABOUT THE STATE OF MISSILE DEFENSE IN AMERICA

(PRLEAP.COM) WASHINGTON, NOV. 11, 2008-The Heritage Foundation releases the long anticipated trailer for its first-ever full length HD documentary 33 Minutes on the film’s website, 33 Minutes – Missile Defense in America. The trailer gives viewers a seven minute preview of the groundbreaking film about missile defense in America, and what immediate steps need to be taken to protect our nation and our citizens.

The proliferation of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles in rogue states and unfriendly nations pose a grave danger to all Americans. North Korea, for one, is currently developing a long-range ballistic missile that could soon carry a nuclear warhead all the way to America’s West Coast. Iran already has missiles that can reach Europe, and could soon acquire nuclear weapons.

This increase in global nuclear capabilities could embolden rogue states to threaten their
neighbors, assert dominance in their region, and further destabilize dangerous situations.
Meanwhile, they would gain sanctuary from which to export more terrorism.

Despite this present and growing danger, our government has moved too slowly to build the missile defense systems capable of defending us against such attacks. This is wrong. We have the technologies to do the job. And building a system is affordable, costing no more than 3 percent of the total annual defense budget.

33 Minutes documents the real threat nuclear weapons pose around the world. The film also addresses America’s own missile defense capabilities and why they are important at this time in history, to protect the U.S. and its allies around the world.
