In response to Chancellor Alistair Darling's pre-budget report, Internet printer cartridge retailer Cartridge Save (www.cartridgesave.co.uk) have reduced all prices to the new 15% VAT level. This is one week ahead of the government's official date to cut VAT from 17.5% to 15%, which will take effect nationally on Monday 1st December. Cartridge Save's early price cuts were made at 6.00PM on Monday 24th November, making Cartridge Save the first major retailer to pass on VAT savings to its customers.

"We took the decision to reduce our prices as soon as the pre-budget announcement was made. These interim price reductions are being funded by Cartridge Save until the official VAT reduction is implemented on Monday." said Ian Cowley, Operations Director.
