Equiom Trust Company Limited have launched a new website designed to promote the benefits of the burgeoning Isle of Man Aircraft Register, and the services offered by the company for the business and private aviation market.

The new website was launched at the Equiom sponsored "Future of Business Jets" conference in October in London, which was attended by over 80 industry professionals. As well as focusing on regulatory, legal, financial, insurance, and technical issues, The Future of Business Jets provided a forum for topical issues. The conference explored licensing problems arising from transatlantic flights, safety concerns for VLJs, the problems and benefits of the current under-regulation of the business jets sector, and why some banks are reluctant to finance business jets.

The Flymann website contains comprehensive information on the many benefits of the Isle of Man, the Registry, how to register an aircraft and the management services of Equiom. In addition, the site contains extensive information on the relevant legislation and authorities, a reference library, events calendar, industry news and links for further information. A "one-stop shop" for all that is required to know about aircraft registration and management in one of the world's most progressive financial centres.

Commented Katherine Ellis, Senior Manager Yachting and Aviation: "Equiom was instrumental in the launch and promotion of the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry in 2007. We have been at the forefront of aircraft registration and management from the Island and we have a growing portfolio of aircraft managed through our market leading Flymann service.

"An important part of the service provided by Equiom is the fact that, by being located in one of the world's leading international financial centres, we are able to establish structures which enable owners and operators to take advantage of the Island's favourable and progressive tax regime.

"The Aircraft Registry has proved to be phenomenally successful with over ninty aircraft being registered since its launch eighteen months ago, and to further promote the Isle of Man, and in particular this growing market sector, we decided to build a specifically designed and comprehensive website."

Added Equiom's Marketing and Internet Manager Mike Dean: "The new Flymann website has been modelled on our highly successful Yachtsmann website which promotes superyacht management from the Isle of Man as well as detailing our services. The markets for aircraft and superyachts have a great deal of synergy and the two websites will prove to be tremendous promotional vehicles for these two industry sectors in which the Island is becoming a market leader."
