DRE Veterinary - a premier supplier of veterinary surgery equipment - recently unveiled the DRE Waveline ProVet, a lightweight vital signs monitor that displays as many as eight colorful waveforms. The sleek Waveline ProVet features a 15", high resolution display with an impressively wide viewing angle.

The Waveline ProVet measures multiple parameters, including ECG (three or five leads), ST segment monitoring, respiration, two temperatures, SpO2 and NIBP. DRE Veterinary also sells configurations with capnography, dual channel IBP and five anesthetic agents (Isoflurane, Sevoflurane, Halothane, N2O, FiO2 and EtCO2).

The Waveline ProVet incorporates monitoring technology from some of the medical industry's most trusted brands. Each Waveline ProVet features a SunTech-brand blood pressure module and Nellcor-brand pulse oximetry components. Configurations with EtCO2 and anesthetic agent monitoring include Drager-brand components.

With the easy-to-use Waveline ProVet, veterinary surgeons can automatically set alarm limits and create graphical and tabular trends. The Waveline ProVet features color-coded alarms, patient data entry functions and networking capabilities. It is also lightweight and portable, and has a built-in rechargeable battery that holds a charge for up to four hours.

The Waveline ProVet features a large high resolution display that provides surgeons with a theater-like view. Unlike many flat panel displays, the Waveline ProVet has a wide viewing angle with unmatched visibility, even at sharp angles.

The Waveline ProVet is the latest monitor in DRE Veterinary's Waveline Series. It follows the DRE Waveline PlusVet vital signs monitor, an upgradeable vital signs monitor that measures up to seven parameters. The Waveline PlusVet has a high resolution 10.4" color display and measures ECG, respiration, NIBP, SpO2 and temperature. Configurations are available that measure EtCO2.

The Waveline PlusVet seamlessly integrates with the DRE Vetrec VST Telemetry System. Veterinary surgeons can use the Vetrec VST to monitor the vital signs of up to 16 patients. According to Jim Evans, Division Manager of DRE Veterinary, the ability to interface the Waveline PlusVet with the Vetrec VST is popular among veterinary surgeons.

"Telemetry is a booming segment of the veterinary surgery market, and veterinarians are hungry for dependable ways to monitor multiple parameters at their telemetry station," says Evans. "By interfacing the Waveline PlusVet with the Vetrec VST, veterinarians can monitor multiple patients from pre-op through discharge from a single location. The Vetrec VST also monitors mobile animals using portable ECG transmitters."

In addition to the Vetrec VST, DRE Veterinary sells the DRE Vetrec PDM, an all-in-one central station monitoring system. About the size of a computer monitor, the wireless Vetrec PDM monitors the vital signs of up to six patients in a veterinary surgery center. It has an intuitive touchscreen display, and allows veterinarians to compile and manage patient data.

Veterinary surgeons interested in learning more about the Waveline ProVet can visit DRE Veterinary's website at www.dreveterinary.com. At www.dreveterinary.com, veterinarians can place online orders for monitoring accessories, such as sensor ear clips, ECG cables and leads, and much more.
