Surround Technologies Completes Historic "North Pole" Project - World's Largest Toy Manufacturing Plant Gains Fully Integrated ERP System
(PRLEAP.COM) BLOOMFIELD, NJ – December 15, 2008 – Surround Technologies today announced full details of their largest custom development project yet, known as the "North Pole" project. The effort evolved as a follow-on development to Surround’s initial work two years ago that was completed under a limited disclosure rule that has now been lifted. That initial project was reported, with restrictions, in the 2006 Press Release entitled "Surround Technologies accelerates the World’s Largest Non-Profit".
This new project, completed on-time and under budget, saw a massive software development effort bring together a wide range of existing IT systems into an integrated application environment that will improve efficiencies throughout the supply chain for the world’s largest toy manufacturing site.
The North Pole’s CEO and widely-known celebrity, Santa Claus, offered his perspective on what the project means, "Why good little boys and girls the world over can rest assured that our toy production, which needs to run smoothly, is now capable of maintaining our long record of 100% fulfillment for many years to come.
