Nate Smith Named President of MV's West Coast Operations

MV Transportation, Inc. is pleased to announce Mr. Nate Smith has been named President of the company's West Coast Operations.

In this new role, Smith will have oversight of a team of regionally based vice presidents and support personnel, as well as ensuring contract compliance and the operational success of more than 100 contracts.

Prior to joining MV, Smith was Vice President of International Operations at Patagonia, Inc., a global retail apparel brand serving customers in wholesale, retail, catalo and commercial settings. In this role at Patagonia, Smith was responsible for international sales, marketing, distributor/dealer relationships, strategic planning and sales along with overall P&L accountability for his area.

Prior to his employment at Patagonia in 2004, Smith served as Marketing Manager for Glenair, Inc., a manufacturer of electronic devices and previous to that he spent nearly ten years in the United States Navy as a SEAL Operations Officer and Platoon Commander. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.
