Pat Moore Foundation Names Katy Alexander As New Business Development Director.

(PRLEAP.COM) Costa Mesa, Ca February 5, 2009 - Pat Moore Foundation is happy to announce that Katy Alexander has been promoted to Business Development Director.

In this role, Katy manages all the business and marketing relationships for Pat Moore Foundation, and brings over 20 years of operations and management experience to her new position, along with her own story of recovery.

A graduate of Pat Moore Foundation, Katy has worked at the foundation for the last three years, first as a manager of a sober living house (where she was previously a resident), then as the Financial Administrator, Office Manager and Back-up Intake Coordinator.

Katy’s background of addiction has given her the passion to work in the recovery field. At age 23, her addiction to methamphetamine nearly cost her everything. At age 32, Katy began her personal journey to recovery at Pat Moore Foundation, where she completed 90 days of residential treatment.

Phil Allen (CEO Pat Moore Foundation) says, "The amazing thing about Katy is that after she discovered for herself that recovery was possible, it became very important to her to help other addicts do the same."

It was this desire that eventually led Katy to her career helping others struggling with addiction. She says, "When I began working with addicts and saw the same helplessness that nearly destroyed my own life, I knew the first step to bringing them recovery was to offer them real hope."

Katy is taking over business and marketing responsibilities from Babbi Anderson, who will continue her long-time relationship with Pat Moore Foundation as an advisor. Anderson says of Katy, "Her courage to overcome her addiction is an inspiration to every life she touches."
