El Dorado Cocktail Lounge Grand Opening Party February 19th 2009

San Diego, CA February 8, 2009 - El Dorado's official grand opening party will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 8pm-2am. Located at 1030 Broadway at 11th and Broadway in the heart of the up and coming East Village. El Dorado's teamed up with Yelp, Neighborhood Restaurant and Ikah Love for it's official grand opening party to coincide with the launch of Ikah Love's Thursday night residency.

The VIP opening night entertainment runs from 8-10pm with live cocktail music provided by Sambossatrio and hosted bar from 8-9pm by Budweiser, Fernet Branca and Effen Vodka, along with sample dishes by Neighborhood Restaurant. DJ Ikah Love and his house band will provide the best mixes of rare grooves, funk, soul and dance floor jazz through the second half of the VIP hour into the night. First 50 VIP guests will receive gift bags from the best East Village has to offer. Open to the public from 10pm till closing.

The buzz surrounding El Dorado began in November '08 when the bar hosted a soft opening. Since it's opening the bar has held parties for Vice Magazine, and an ASR/Agenda tradeshow after party with Keep A Breast and Lifetime Collective. El Dorado has also hosted some of San Diego's hottest DJ's including Saul Q, Ikah love, Rat-Star, Unite, JBlow, Adam Salter, DJ Profile, Stack-Aly, and Shark Attack.

It is only natural that El Dorado would partner with Yelp to throw their Grand Opening party. With just a few short months in business and only running by word of mouth Yelpers have helped pushed this bar into the spotlight with almost a 5 star rating and over 25 reviews including one from Mr. Yelp himself Ruggy J. "They're taking the high road… you will soon find an extensive list of specialty cocktails and fine craft beers. I had an opportunity to sample what the owners believe will become their signature drink, the Serrano Chile Mojito, and it was divine." Yelp.com will be handing out 40 guest list spots.
