Branding expert publishes third book: The Reluctant Entrepreneur
(
PRLEAP.COM) Seattle, WA. February 19, 2009-The Reluctant Entrepreneur, Stories from an alternative view on running a business, by Seattle-based branding expert Lynn M. Parker, is now available. A quick read that’s full of lessons from Parker’s experiences as a business owner, the book is a compilation of her 2007 and 2008 Puget Sound Business Journal entrepreneurship columns woven together with additional insights. This is the third book authored or co-authored by Parker, and is available in paperback at Amazon.com.
This 88-page book examines the ups and downs of running a business and offers strategies for making-and living with-difficult decisions. It is presented in a reader-friendly format complete with a list of tips in each chapter, covering a broad array of topics including five common mistakes made by new small businesses, ten steps to getting leads, how to manage recession anxiety, and the value in mentorships. The book’s final section presents Parker’s concise synopsis of what every business needs to know to create and nurture its brand.
Parker wrote The Reluctant Entrepreneur in response to reader feedback to her Puget Sound Business Journal articles, which suggested that many business and potential owners had their own "alternative" views and appreciated the lessons and tone of what was offered. Kevin Sullivan, President of CCS Printing said, "There are two kinds of people who should read this book. Those that own their own company and those that would like to."
The book follows two bestsellers by Lynn Parker and Joe LePla (and other contributors), Integrated Branding, and Brand Driven, both available in paperback and hardcover editions.
