The company is seeking the world’s best, most authentic Santas to support the October launch of www.Jinglegram.com, a revolutionary new way to share holiday wishes with loved ones and business associates.
Jinglegram™ Greetings are a personalized web page, letter and video direct from Santa Claus sent on your behalf. Think e-cards meet webcam with a holiday flair.
With the holiday season fast approaching, tech-savvy Santapreneurs from every corner of the world have been answering the call to action. Dozens of applications have been submitted and reviewed, with dozens more still under review. Auditions will be taking place through October 31st, 2004.
Accepted candidates will join an elite team of Desktop Santa™ performers who are trained to reach a vast global audience without ever leaving the comfort of their own home or office. Only candidates who complete an online audition and pass a rigorous interview process will be invited to audition. To be considered, a prospective Santa must have (or be willing to acquire) a high quality Santa suit, a webcam, and regular access to a computer with a broadband internet connection.
According to Lori Anne Wardi, CEO of DBM, "each Desktop Santa™ performer must be so authentic and charismatic — their videos will knock the socks off of kids from one to 92!" The ideal candidates include professional Santas seeking new income opportunities and broader exposure; amateur and professional actors who closely resemble Santa and possess the festive spirit of the season; retired professional Santas who may be homebound or disabled; and bilingual and ethnic Santas.
Since Santa Claus will be "front and center" of every Jinglegram™ Greeting sold, recruiting the world’s best Desktop Santa™ performers is the company’s first business priority. To support their recruitment strategy, DBM has created a pay-for-performance compensation model which, according to Mark Shilensky, the company’s CFO, "could provide motivated Desktop Santa™ performers with an unprecedented opportunity to supplement — or even replace — their seasonal income this year."
