Commercial Kitchen Hood Company, APS-Hoods Seeks Installation Reps

(PRLEAP.COM) March 5, 2009 - American Professional Services is looking for mechanical and fire protection companies in California that are interested in learning to install commercial kitchen hood systems and fire suppression systems.

APS-Hoods is a Denver, Colorado-based company that has undergone a methodical nationwide expansion in recent months. Now its commercial hood requests from new restaurants are rapidly increasing, said Massoud Farazandeh general manager of APS-Hoods. California hood cleaning requests from existing restaurants also are increasing.

Farazandeh wants to train interested mechanical and fire protection companies in California in this line of work so he can better meet the needs of an increasing customer base.

"I thought now would be a good time to seek and train installation representatives for our commercial hood range because a lot of mechanical and fire protection companies are laying off people all over the country, but pockets of the restaurant industry still are going strong," Farazandeh said. "That is evident from the amount of calls we’re getting from California restaurants."

Companies that want to become representatives of APS-Hoods will receive training on installing restaurant kitchen hood and fire suppression systems. APS-Hoods also will assist in getting the companies licensed and teaching them how to properly pull permits. Ongoing technical support will include providing engineered drawings for every job and supplying all of the parts, equipment and materials needed for each installation.

Hood installation work hasn’t slowed down because there are a lot of smaller restaurants that are being opened and are becoming successful.

While some restaurant chains are suffering from the poor economy, it appears that smaller restaurants such as fast food chains and mom-and-pop eateries are faring well even in tough times.

Farazandeh is getting a great deal of requests for work in particular from Mexican restaurants in California that are new or have been around for a while and are expanding.

"I think a lot of Mexican restaurants are opening all over the country because of the increasing Hispanic population," he said. "Also, Mexican restaurants are seen as good food for a low price."

Farazandeh wants to do what he can to help keep people working in this tough economy.

"If your mechanical or fire protection business is slow right now, here’s a way to help pick it up," he said. "We have the work and we’re looking for quality companies that would like to learn this trade."
