UK online shoe retailer TotallyShoes.co.uk has adapted their free returns service to enable customers to support a children's charity when they send back their shoes.

Any customer making a return to TotallyShoes.co.uk are asked to include old mobile phones, broken jewellery, or spare foreign currency, all of which can be used to raise money for Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, based in Leatherhead, Surrey. The charity provides provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

"Being an online shoe retailer, we will always get returns and try to make this process as easy as possible for our customers. We've had a free returns service in place for over a year and this recent addition aims to raise funds for charity too" said Carl Fraser, Managing Director of TotallyShoes.co.uk. "As we're already paying for the return of the shoes, it doesn't cost us any more if the customer also includes a item to be donated, and we then forward these on to Rainbow Trust".

Fraser went on to say "Although the scheme has only just been launched, the initial signs are extremely encouraging and many customers have already included items for donation in with their return".

Currently, only 10% of unused mobile phones in the UK are recycled. Rainbow Trust Children's Charity receives £3.50 for each phone returned.

TotallyShoes.co.uk retails leading brand footwear within the UK and are based in Woodchurch, Kent. Further details can be found on their website at http://www.TotallyShoes.co.uk
