Nashville, TN – April 16, 2009 - The custom media and social media marketing company Hammock Inc.(www.hammock.com) has entered into an agreement to become the official social media sponsor of the Society of National Association Publications (www.snaponline.org) and its annual Association Media & Publishing conference to be held this year, June 3-4, 2009 in Washington, D.C., at the Capital Hilton.

To generate interest in the event and provide a place online for attendees to set up user profiles, discuss the agenda, interact with speakers and network, Hammock has created a pre-event online conference community (www.snap09.com) for SNAP. The site, which launched this month, is managed and hosted by members of Hammock's social media team.

Hammock will also create a special online event site that will provide real-time coverage of SNAP's Association Media & Publishing conference in June. During the event, Hammock will utilize online social media and conversational media tools including YouTube, Flickr and Twitter to encourage the participation in event sessions and activities by attendees, speakers, exhibitors and members who can't be there. Attendees, SNAP staff and Hammock will provide videos, photos, slide-presentations and other content to the site.

In 2008, the Custom Publishing Council awarded Hammock with a Gold Pearl Award for the Best Use of Alternative Media and Multimedia Technology category for its event work on the National Small Business Summit Web site. The site connected and gathered small business owners online, building a community of small business owners to share their Summit experiences.
