Andrew Wachler of Wachler & Associates, P.C. spoke at the 13th Annual Compliance Institute of the Health Care Compliance Association meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada on the topic of Recovery Audit Contractors. He spoke with Jennifer O'Brien, Vice President of the Health Care Compliance Association and addressed issues of proactive strategies for preparing for the RACs and limiting organizational liability; understanding and successfully utilizing the Medicare appeals process; and sharing lessons learned from the RAC demonstration project.
