Artist Michael Storrings has added a cast of sophisticated little travelers to his 2009 line of European hand-painted blown glass ornaments and table top for Landmark Creations.

The City Dogs include Cup of Jo Chihuahua, Liberty Retriever, Tip the Bellhop Yorkie, Checkers the Pug, Dumpling Pekinese, Beefy the Pug , Scotties on Ice, Fashionista, Bone-I-fied Traveler and Tropical Tails. The City Dogs also grace a porcelain plate and mug.

Storrings remarked, in a recent interview, "Checkers the Pug is perhaps my favorite 3D ornament, I have two pugs that own me and he is modeled after my dog Spencer. My friends and family know that Spencer is always in the driver's seat. I was very particular about the details and made sure of things like the two moles that are on either side of the face and curly tail."

The Landmark Creations line of travel ornaments designed by company founder
Jo Ellen Krasnobrod has found kindred spirit in Storrings vibrant designs. Both Krasnobrod and Storrings share a love of travel and elegant design.

"I love the Bone-I-fied Travelers ball. It has some of my favorite cities in the world. When I travel, I love sitting at cafes in places like France and Italy and sketching in my journals. That is perhaps why the center image focuses on a café scene. Scattered about are the Can-Can Scotties, a pug beefeater and a gondola full of doggies," says Storrings.

The City Dog receiving top billing in holiday homes will most likely be the one that evokes a beloved family pet, city or vacation.
