BOSTON’S LIVING ROOT DRAGON BOAT SEEKS MEN AND WOMEN TO RACE IN PAWTUCKET AND HARTFORD

Boston, Massachusetts – Living Root Dragon Boat, Inc. (“LRDB”) seeks men and women to race with its Open Team at the Pawtucket dragon boat race on September 10, 2005 and at the Hartford dragon boat race on September 17, 2005. Living Root Dragon Boat recently competed in June at the Boston Dragon Boat Festival.

“We’ve been training and recruiting very hard the last few months,” says LRDB President Bob Lee. “We’re psyched up to finish out our season at Pawtucket and Hartford. We’re very thankful that this year we have the sponsorship of Lee Technical Athletics, Stacy’s Pita Chip Company, and now Robinson & Cole LLP for the Hartford race.”

Team requirements are available online at www.livingroot.org. No prior experience is required of new team members. The team also seeks $40,000 over the next two years to help train and equip its members including the purchase of a state-of–the-art fiberglass, 41’ long dragon boat.

The club is also seeking sponsors and other partnership relationships to meet these financial goals as well as to develop a dragon boat youth program. The club is particularly interested in speaking with corporations, civic organizations, schools, and universities who are looking to expand their programming or community involvement.

“If you’re looking for a new type of team sport and like the water, we want to talk with you,“ adds Mr. Lee. “We still have space available on our roster.”
