The National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) will host its 35th Anniversary Gala and Award Dinner on May 28, 2009 in New York City. Ambassador John D. Negroponte will present the George F. Kennan Award for Distinguished Public Service to General David H. Petraeus. The NCAFP will also present its first annual Young Leaders in Advancing American Foreign Policy Award to John Delury, Nathaniel Fick, and Joshua Cooper Ramo.

This milestone occasion will include special remarks by former NCAFP Award recipients, Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke, Henry A. Kissinger, and Paul A. Volcker.

The National Committee on American Foreign Policy was founded in 1974 by Professor Hans J. Morgenthau and others. It is a nonprofit, activist organization dedicated to the resolution of conflicts that threaten U.S. interests. Toward that end, the NCAFP identifies, articulates, and helps advance American foreign policy interests from a nonpartisan perspective within the framework of political realism.
