THE PASCALL COMPANY EXECUTIVE TAKES HELM AT HISPANIC PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION

(PRLEAP.COM) The Pascall Company, LLC, a management consulting and strategy firm, is proud to announce that Maria Pierre, chief operating officer, will assume the position as president of the Hispanic Professional Women’s Association (HPWA). The public induction is slated for 11:30 am on June 19 at The Columbia Restaurant, 2117 East 7th Ave., in Tampa’s Ybor City district. Pierre, a HPWA member since 2007, will focus her one-year term on providing group leadership, addressing Hispanic concerns, and fostering educational opportunities for young women.

"This organization is close to my heart because my personal story speaks to the power of education and rising above poverty and family issues," said Pierre, who was born in Puerto Rico, moved to the U.S. at age seven with her mother and nine siblings, and orphaned at age 12. "With the help of a scholarship for minority students with high grades, I benefited from a prep school and Ivy-league education. I am grateful to have achieved so much on my own."

Since earning her bachelor’s degree in sociology on a full academic scholarship to Harvard University, Maria has led a purpose-driven career to, put simply, help others find happiness. She has worked as a counselor and administrator in various social agencies, performed counseling in crisis intervention centers, and graduated from seminary school to serve as Spiritual Director at Esperanza Interfaith Center. Currently, she also holds an executive position in The Pascall Company, where much of her work focuses on professional career coaching and the work-life synergy programs, which enables professionals to perform at optimum levels and successfully overcome career burnout.

"During my career, I’ve found that women especially are often drowning in the stress of managing a successful career and juggling the many jobs of taking care of a family," said Pierre. "That is why it is a great honor to lead the group that specifically encourages personal wellness as well as business achievement for fellow Latinas and our future generations."
