ImprovJacksonville Announces Schedule for The Jacksonville Laugh Fest

Laugh Fest kicks-off Thursday, September 15th with a Game Night where patrons can join the players from ImprovJacksonville in games such as Pictionary, Guesstures, Scattegories, and more! Other events include a Laugh & Learn Lunch, a Wine Tasting and open auditions for the opportunity to join ImprovJacksonville.

The full schedule for The Jacksonville Laugh Fest is listed below:

Thursday, September 15
7 – 9:00 p.m. – Game Night
Sign up to play games like Cranium, Pictionary, RoShamBo (Rock-Paper-Scissors), Taboo and more! A player from ImprovJacksonville will join every game table and concludes with a RoShamBo championship!

9:00 p.m. – Interactive Workshop Show
ImprovJacksonville takes the stage for a highly interactive show that includes strong audience participation!

Friday, September 16

11:30 a.m. - Laugh & Learn Lunch
Laugh Fest continues with the Laugh & Learn Lunch. This event includes lunch and networking, followed by a fast-paced, one hour workshop in which participants get a brief presentation, some highly entertaining learning exercises used in improvisational theater, and focused discussion to help apply learning to individual needs.

7 – 10 p.m. - Wine Tasting, Humor in Art and Live & Silent Auction

Enjoy the casual atmosphere of local art, fine wine and a spirited live and silent auction all in the name of funny.

10 p.m. - Stand-up Comedy Show

Come enjoy the stand-up comedians that Jacksonville has to offer for only $10! Comedians include ImprovJacksonville Alumni Bobby Parker, Patrick McQuillan and Andre Holloway plus local favorites like Dr. Amy Beckham!


Saturday, September 17

Noon – 2 p.m. – Bedlamites Workshop
Each student will have the opportunity to learn, play and interact with other would-be improvisers. Be sure to visit ImprovJacksonville’s website often as other workshops will be offered throughout Saturday afternoon.

5 – 7 p.m. - Open Auditions for ImprovJacksonville
ImprovJacksonville now performs six shows a week and is looking to expand the troupe! If you are interested in auditioning for ImprovJacksonville be sure to register at www.improvjacksonville.com. There is no cost to audition but reservations are strongly suggested. Headshots are welcome but not mandatory.

8 p.m. - Gymprov
A competitive style show called Gymprov. Two teams try to out"wit" each other on stage for
the championship.

10 p.m. - ImprovJacksonville One-Year Anniversary Show

ImprovJacksonville celebrates the first year since opening the doors of the theatre on Hemming Plaza. The 90-minute show will include the whole cast in a fast and funny short-form improvisational show.

Midnight - Long-form improvisation Show
Long-form improvisation uses audience suggestions to tell complete stories and is much
like watching a full-length play or movie.

Sunday, September 18

11 a.m. – Matinee Sketch Show
Join ImprovJacksonville for a tasty brunch and original sketches written by members of ImprovJacksonville.

2 – 4 p.m. - Open Auditions for ImprovJacksonville
