UK instrumental music label AD Music celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a festival of electronic music in Derby. The midlands was considered by many people to be the UK hub of electronic music with a series of similar events in Derby during the 1990's including the last AD Music festival in 1996 featuring Klaus Schulze. AD Music hope that this 2009 event will help rejuvenate interest in an annual all day electronic music festival and if it's a financial success, then it is AD Music's intention to organize another next year.

So, if you're into electronic, space music of the Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre style and era, then this event should appeal to you, so come along to the Derby electronic music festival. As can be seen from the strong 2009 line up, it is not exclusively an "AD Music artist" festival, and it won't be in the future either.

Code Indigo, once described by a BBC radio presenter as; "The best instrumental rock band on the planet" open the event with their unique style of Art of Noise, Enigma, Vangelis, Pink Floyd style electronica. Next up is "Ron Boots and friends" from Holland, making a rare and welcome UK appearance performing his traditional melodic sequenced style electronic music. The evening performance features three renown musicians performing together for the first time in a 2 hour plus concert ; Sound synthesist and performer Ian Boddy is founder of the DiN label and appeared at the very first UK electronica in Milton Keynes way back in 1983. Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock (also know as Klaus Cosmic-Hoffmann) is a German guitarist and keyboard legend and founder the acclaimed band "Mind over Matter". David Wright is founder of AD Music and co-founder of Code Indigo and has established a strong reputation for varied instrumental space music since the late 1980's. Together they form Boddy, Hoffmann-Hoock & Wright, a unique and exciting new "supergroup".
