Applianceart.com Launches A Green Alternative to Unattractive Appliances

GRIP Promotions, Inc., an Atlanta-based experiential promotional marketing firm launched its first line of consumer products: Applianceart.com.

Appliance art, a line of covers for dishwashers and other appliance fronts, is designed to help people keep their dishwashers out of landfills and junkyards for years after they become unattractive. After holding numerous focus groups with homeowners, renters and landlords, Grant Smith, President and founder of GRIP Promotions, saw a need to supply a greener alternative that can solve both the problem of an unattractive appliance as well as the problem of ever-diminishing landfill space.

ApplianceArt.com offers a variety of static clings, magnets, and adhesive vinyl coverings that can be easily applied to the dishwasher and can change the color and design to make the appliance attractive, funny, serene, or motivational.

"Our focus groups indicated that the number one reason customers replaced the appliance was dissatisfaction of cosmetic form rather than the appliance not functioning correctly." Grant adds, "Older apartments and condos generally keep fixing their appliances through home warranties rather than replacing them, but the repairmen can do nothing about the appearance of an appliance. What we offer is an inexpensive way to update your kitchen without spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on new appliances. This helps the environment by helping to keep landfills and junkyards free from housing many old appliances."

Applianceart.com offers a wide array of photography, patterns, textures, motivational quotes, humor, sports rivalries, and other categories that are expanding daily. All Appliance Art options are based at $44.99 with free shipping included. GRIP Promotions intends to add lines for refrigerators, toasters, and wall graphics within the year.
