MINNEAPOLIS – July 21, 2009 – For the 2008-2009 school year, Jostens paired up with the Green Belt Movement to plant over 40,000 trees in Kenya, an amount that was funded by consumer purchases of DualCast™ rings from Jostens. Jostens DualCast™ class rings combine Lustrium with 10K gold accents bringing style and beauty to an everlasting product. Another important element; however, is that each purchase of a DualCast™ class ring means a new tree will be planted in Kenya through Jostens and the Green Belt Movement.

Each tree is planted by women and children in Kenya, providing them with jobs and helping to improve the Kenyan economy and environment. Founded by the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Professor Wwangari Maathai, the movement also facilitates educational campaigns to increase awareness of important issues such as the environment, civic empowerment, and women's rights. The planting of trees encourages the growth of forest cover and essentially helps Kenya preserve natural life. Class rings have been a tradition for students around the nation for over a century. Jostens has supported this celebration of achievement with innovative ways to create class ring designs on Jostens Ring Designer at www.jostens.com. A leader in class ring design and sales, Jostens has found a way to not only carry on this important tradition, but also help others and the environment while doing so.
