And as of June 2, 2009, the company name has been officially registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office under Serial Number 78/786661.

Mind The Gap is a marketing firm that specializes in on hold, voice and in store messaging programs. The company provides its clients with professional scriptwriting, voice talent, licensed music, audio production, and digital audio equipment.

"The name, ‘Mind The Gap,’ really describes what our company does," explains Marc A. Gallo, President. "Most advertising strategies are all about generating response, but they seldom have a strategy in place to handle the responses they get. That’s where the ‘gap’ is; and that’s where our expertise lies. When potential customers or clients respond with a phone call, our messaging enhances their inquiry with useful information. Mind The Gap messaging helps our clients build relationships with their customers."

The company, founded in 1993, was formerly known as Marketing On Hold. Since 2006 it has operated under the name Mind The Gap.

"Now that we’ve legally protected our name," Gallo says, "We have an excellent opportunity for Mind The Gap to build its brand as a leader in voice, in-store, and on-hold messaging as well as other marketing solutions in the near future."
