ArtFutura celebrates its 20th birthday this year and the theme of the festival is ‘from virtual reality to social networking’.

According to its organisers, the festival "has shown how, at the beginning of this new millennium, art and science are following parallel paths more than ever. It is now impossible to understand art separated from new media, internet and digital technology".

ArtFutura activities are also held in several other Spanish cities, including Alicante, Cadiz, Zaragoza, Gijon, Granada, Madrid, Murcia, Segovia and Valladolid.
