Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity feature Tom Kimmel's "Pages" as their free download for college students at the 'Franciscanized World' http://www.fscc-calledtobe.org vocation page.

"Pages " is an earnest and melodic meditation on personal responsibility, the lyrics including the lines "And it's hard to clearly see what's right, In ordinary light. Does the truth filter down through the ages…Tell me what will we write on these pages?"

According to Tom "The first verse came all at once…. Then there were some more pieces, and a long pause…. One day I showed what I had of it to Jenny Yates and she jumped in, had strong ideas about what was missing, what to keep and what to leave out, and we finished it."

Tom's award winning songs have been featured in film and television and recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Nanci Griffith, Randy Travis, Shawn Colvin, Dianne Reeves and many others.

"We want to present our life as a viable option. Personal invitation is always best; however, we became convinced that real conversations can begin by using the language of images and music." said Sr. Julie Ann Sheahan, OSF, Directress of Vocations for the Franciscan order.

Established in 1869, the Roman Catholic Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serve in Catholic health care, education and parish ministries throughout the United States.
