Lasoo.com.au wins 4000th Facebook fan

The Lasoo.com.au Facebook community (www.facebook.com/Lasoo.com.au) has been steadily growing since its inception on July 2008, with fans logging on regularly for the hottest offers on the main Lasoo site, as well as bonus information on the latest sales, discount coupons and to enter exclusive competitions. It also offers the chance for fans to interact with each other as well as Lasoo staff.

The page added its 4000th fan in early August and the number continues to climb on a weekly basis.

Over the past year, fans have shared and discussed offers from some of Australia's top retailers - including Dick Smith, Myer, ALDI, K Mart and Toys R Us, and leading brands - such as Nintendo, Canon, LG, Samsung and Sony.

Comments left by fans on the Lasoo.com.au Facebook page make it obvious that social networking sites can help consumer brands grow their community and build brand loyalty.

"Lasoo is great – I live on a farm and don't get catalogues in the mail box – it saves paper and the environment too!" is just one of the positive comments left by a user on the Facebook page.

But Facebook isn't the only social media site that has been gaining popularity recently. Microblogging site Twitter may be a relatively newcomer, but Lasoo.com.au users are already flocking to it.

Lasoo has already attracted over 700 "followers" on Twitter in just a few months, with followers receiving real-time updates (or "tweets") from Lasoo staff on new catalogues, bargains, discount codes and sales.
