G21: The World's Magazine released a Special Report on 31 August, 2005 on the devastation suffered by the city of New Orleans, LA, USA, asserting that the budgetary policies of the Bush administration led to the devastation of that city.

The article, written by the magazine's editor and publisher, Rod Amis, a former resident of New Orleans calls the disaster in New Orleans, "the greatest natural disaster in American history" and say that it could have been averted.

"I found myself in a state of mourning," Amis said, "and had to say something. This didn't have to happen.

"The Army Corps of Engineer and SELA went to the President repeatedly asking for more money to save this flood-prone city and repeatedly they were turned away. We all knew what was happening down there.

"As far as I'm concerned, New Orleans died for Iraq."
