Mayflower Transit Teams Up with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Kent , Wash. –- When “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” needed help delivering supplies for the creation of a home in the Northwest, Lincoln Moving & Storage Co., Inc., an agent for Mayflower Transit, one of the nation's oldest and largest van lines, stepped up to volunteer its services. Lincoln Moving and Storage assisted with picking up and delivering supplies, including household goods that Lincoln stored in their warehouse and more than 20 pallets of water, for the team of volunteers, during the building of the new 3,200-square-foot home, which replaced the 850-square-foot home of the Dore family. The family, which includes a widowed mother and three daughters, were struck by hardship when the family home that was built by their late father burned completely to the ground. Following the devastating news of the fire, the family found out that their home insurance policy lapsed when their agent retired.

Centex Homes, the builder of the home, recognized Lincoln Moving & Storage for its support by presenting them with an award.
