The Warrior Collection by Oleg Alyasov

September 08, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Since 1705, the age of Russian Czar, Peter the Great, the Alyasov Family has been the foundation for the famous blacksmiths of Russia, as well as the first ever-state weapons manufacturing plant. Within 300 years, this family has been linked to the development of metals used for weapons (swords and guns) manufacturing, as well as fashion. During that time, they were awarded the highest craftsmanship award, the Golden Cross, which was custom made for the Alyasov family by the Czar. Their legacy continued through the emergence of the Communist revolution in 1917, in which Lenin declared the Alyasov's as the first to establish capitalistic manufacturing in Russia.

The Alyasov's also strongly influenced the fashion of Catherine the Great who preferred to wear accessories made exclusively by the Alyasov's…everything from metal and diamonds to gold. Buttons and pins produced in the Alyasov workshops decorated her dresses. Many of these pieces can be viewed today in St. Petersburg and the Kremlin in Moscow.

From this great history draws the inspiration for The Warrior Collection. The high quality knitted leather bags that makeup this collection, will be clasped by swords and shields made of silver and Damask Steel, modeled after replicas of past Alyasov creations. They will be manufactured at the original Alyasov workshop, which is still considered one of the best in the world. These pieces will be custom order only and will serve as collectible items.

These amazing bags are pieces of history, created by the great grandson of the original craftsman. Oleg Alyasov has brought the family legacy into the 21st century and today's style makers will not be disappointed. The Warrior bags will be available in New York for Fall 2005.

Joining the release of the Warrior collection will be a unique line of cosmetic products developed from the ecologically pure zones of Russia. This line will include, shampoo, creams, masks etc… It will be a departure from the American style of scents and textures, and will instead focus on nourishing products that foster a healthy lifestyle.

These collections can be viewed exclusively by appointment at the Spread PR showroom, located at 167 Madison Avenue, suite 602 or at the GATTO Showroom 212.216.0025.
